Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how MCPanel handles your data. MCPanel is a local desktop application for managing Minecraft servers.

1. Summary

MCPanel is only running locally on your device. MCPanel is not sharing any data.

2. Data Stored Locally

MCPanel stores the following data only on your device, in the application data directory:

Platform Location
Windows %APPDATA%\mcpanel\
macOS ~/Library/Application Support/mcpanel/
Linux ~/.config/mcpanel/

This includes:

  • Server configurations -> names, ports, versions, ...
  • Profile configurations -> names, software/version restrictions, added files
  • Theme preferences -> installed themes
  • Application settings -> any preferences you configure within the App

None of this data is transmitted to any external server or third party.

3. Network Requests

MCPanel uses network requests for installing/fetching certain content.

Purpose Destination Data Usage
MCPanel updates api.github.com Fetching
MCPanel-CLI updates api.github.com Fetching
Minecraft Versions and Softwares Minecraft API & Server Software APIs Fetching & Downloading
Installing dependencies github.com & other Fetching & Downloading

All requests are initiated by you (by clicking a button or triggering a check). The App does not run background telemetry, analytics, or tracking of any kind.

MCPanel does not send any personal data or user identifiers as part of these requests. This does not apply for the Website Providers.

4. Themes

If you install a custom theme from a URL or the GitHub theme repository, the App fetches that theme file from the Theme browser or a third-party source. MCPanel is not responsible for the content or behavior of themes. Only download content from sources you trust.

5. MCPanel CLI

MCPanel-CLI is a CLI (Command Line Interface) that was introduced in v2.x.x and now serves as the backend for MCPanel. It operates locally and does not transmit any data.

6. Third-Party Services

MCPanel does not integrate with any analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or third-party tracking services.

The only third-party network destinations are the official APIs listed in Section 3 and 4, which are only used to fetch data.

7. Children's Privacy

MCPanel does not have an age limit, however due to its complexity, we advise against children under the age of 13 using MCPanel.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this document will be revised. Significant changes will be noted in the app itself.
